Our tadpoles are absolutely thriving in their environment. They are enjoying eating lots of boiled, leafy lettuce which they munch on with their tiny teeth. We have recently observed them beginning to change as they have now grown back legs. Soon their gills will disappear and they will swim to the surface of the water… More

Planting in Nursery

Now that the warmer weather has arrived we have been busy planting in our Nursery garden. This week the children have planted flowers, strawberries, potatoes and courgettes. We have also planted cress to take home and look after as part of our homework tasks. We will hopefully get to eat some egg and cress sandwiches!

Summer assessments are upon us!

This week the children started their SATs by completing the spelling, grammar and punctuation paper. Everyone dealt with the paper in a mature fashion and it was a calm and relaxed environment in both classes. Year 5 have been mastering their engineering skills down at the Port of Blyth building a working electrical racing car! Kirkley Hall

We had a fabulous time on Tuesday at Kirkley Hall zoo! The children had the opportunity to see some weird and wonderful animals and even saw some animals that talked! They were able to handle guinea pigs and rabbits, explore the woodland walk and went through the wallaby walk.

The Summer Term is well under way and, with it, has come consistently decent weather over the last few weeks.
