Year 2 Historians visit Beamish!

To help reinforce what we have been learning in history this half term, the year 2 history team were able to research what life was like in the past by visiting Beamish. At the start of our history lessons, we have been discussing the key history skills that we will need in order to be an historian. Check them out below:

Throughout the day, we were able to recognise, observe and identify objects from the past in context. We were encouraged to describe what we were seeing to our friends. We were asked questions by members of staff at Beamish which allowed us to recall what we had learned in school. Most importantly though, throughout the day we were able to compare and contrast life over 100 years ago to our lives now. Take a look at all of the exciting things we got up to below:
