This week, the children have been hard at work in the afternoons creating a variety of interesting things to take home over the Christmas break.
The children used templates to create Christmas Bauble boxes. They were decorated with glitter, diamonds, ribbon and other festive decorative items. They were tasked with making them symmetrical by having repeating patterns on each side. There will be special gifts added to the inside.
The children took photos in front of a range of seasonal themed backgrounds to decorate their calendars, in which they highlighted important dates for the coming year.
Christmas Wrapping Paper
Initially, the children had to design a simple, Christmas themed image in their jotters which they could replicate in card as a template. Once they had created their template, they had to use it to create a mold out of clay. The clay mold was then given a festive paint colour and printed onto parcel paper. We all hope you enjoy opening your gifts from us on Christmas morning!
As well as this, we also created cards and took part in lots of other fun activities in the final week, finishing with our Christmas party and toy day! All of us in year 4 wish you a happy and safe Christmas break and we’ll see you in the new year!
