We would like to say a massive thank you to all parents and carers who attended our meeting this week. There was a lot of information shared at the meeting and I’m sure you’ll agree that it was all imperative to help your child achieve the very best they are capable of. If you were unable to attend, much of the information is available on the school website, so please explore our ‘Learning Zone’ where there are several useful links to assist you in helping your child with homework, as well as some great ideas for how to help them learn spellings.
We are delighted with how the children have settled in to Year 5 and are quickly adapting to the new routines. The attitude towards homework has been brilliant and we are delighted to see so many parents evidently involved with this. Please check the marked homework when it is returned in order to help with future homework tasks. It is fabulous to see most of our children using the planners as communication between home and school; this is key for us to keep abreast of any changes at either home or school and work as a partnership.
We would like to remind all parents who have not yet signed up for a parent’s evening appointment that we would welcome a more personal chat with you about your child at parent’s evening on the 3rd and 5th of October. If you would like to make an appointment, teachers’ will have the appointment sheet each afternoon at the door or alternatively you can contact the school office.
We look forward to working with you throughout the coming year.
