As part of out of our weekly PCWT (Parent and Children Working Together) sessions, we have been talking about moving reading into writing. We discussed the Pie Corbett method of developing writing. This is such a powerful way of engaging learners to be effective writers. Pupils learn a story so deeply, their ideas flow when it comes to write them down. They are not hindered by thinking about what to write while they practice the skills of forming letters and words.
Watch the video below to help understand how children learn a story. There are plenty more materials on Youtube.
