November 11th – Remembrance Day

I know I have already told you about the Remembrance Service we held in school ahead of the acts of remembrance that took place across the UK last week but I did want to also mention the observed silence that took place throughout school today, November 11th.  In addition to our Remembrance Service, we all thought it was important that every single child and adult in school observed a respectful silence at 11am today.  Everyone acted with such solemn maturity on this occasion and in a school with 437 pupils and over 70 staff, you could hear a pin drop at 11am.  This kind of behaviour is another example that fills me with pride and confidence in our citizens of the future.  Well done children.
