As I explained in an earlier edition of Newsham News, our Y5 pupils have been involved in an exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) project at the Port of Blyth and built an electric powered car as part of their work. Parents and Carers may have seen some of the time trials they were undertaking on the school playground at the end of the afternoon on Monday. It has all been very exciting and the children have loved this project, which will form part of the Great Exhibition on Newcastle Quayside in July. Well done everyone. Pupils will attend a race event on Thursday 5th July, as in previous correspondence pupils must arrive at 7.50am on this day for the bus departing at 8am.
