In Literacy this week we decided to predict what might happen next in chapter 4 of our class novel Running Wild. In pairs we discussed our ideas and used drama to develop them further. From this we planned and wrote chapter four.      

Curriculum Day


Thank you to everybody who gave up their precious time to attend our Christmas curriculum day. It was lovely to see so many of our parents and carers enjoying taking part in a range of craft activities. The money raised from biscuit sales and the photo booth will be put towards more treats for the children.

Japanese Blossom Trees


In our class novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom, the main character paints Japanese blossom trees on shells and stones. The description of the painting sounded beautiful so we decided to try our own. We then designed and created our own artwork based on the same theme.

Design Technology – Volcanoes!

As part of our topic on Natural Disasters, in Design Technology we have been exploring ideas of how to construct a working volcano model. We designed our volcanoes considering the properties of the materials available. This week we have been making the base onto which we will form our volcanoes.
