Clay Sculptures Based on Joan Miro

This half term we have been studying the surrealist artist Joan Miro. Miro was a Spanish painter, sculptor and potter who was born in Barcelona in 1893. A lot of Miro’s artwork involved him warping real life objects by changing their size, shape or by putting them in unusual places. Using these ideas as inspiration, we created our own surrealist sculptures by using clay to combine objects and altering their size and perspective. The finished results were great!
